BRAG RESIDENTIAL AND BUSINESS CRIME WATCH

Engaged Citizens Share Information!

Safe neighborhoods require people communicating with each other.  Reports of criminal activity must go beyond a 911 call to the police. You must let your residential and business neighbors know a crime has occurred. You should report the crime through the BRAG Crime Watch Network so we can broadcast the crime or suspicious activity to your neighbors and area businesses. Through email communication it is possible to put all of the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses on HIGH ALERT when a criminal incident or suspicious activity occurs in any neighborhood or business area. Your neighbors may be able to provide additional information. Your neighbors can be on alert for similar activity or take measures to reduce the opportunities for criminal activity.

If your neighborhood does not have a Crime Watch effort….start one! You can contact the BRAG crime watch coordinators to find out how to start your neighborhood or business crime watch organization. We can help you get started!

New BRAG Police Satellite Station

The new Police Satellite Station at 71st and Shadeland is NOW OPEN, inside the Castleton United Methodist Church facility.

The satellite station is used by North District officers to file reports, as a gathering point for officers, and occasional North District Roll Call. The station offers a law enforcement presence in the area as well as provides a service to the officers. The office contains a small refrigerator and cabinet stocked with beverages and snacks for the officers.

The office was created and managed by volunteers and is always in need of refreshments, soft drinks, bottled water, candy, chips and snack donations for the police officers who stop by. BRAG makes regular grocery runs to stock the station and eagerly accepts monetary donations to fund the effort. Please send your check marked “Satellite Station” to BRAG, 5868 E. 71st Street E-104, Indianapolis, IN  46220-4078.  Monetary donations are tax deductible.
